Western Week: Postcard Express with Scottsdale Artists’ School
Find out why Old Town Scottsdale is "the West's Most Western Town" during a morning filled with line dancing, live music, historic wagons, rope demonstrations and more!
On this special morning, beloved horses will be making their way all the way from the town of Holbrook to join us for this special occasion! Over 20 riders from the Navajo County Sherriff's Posse will carry pen pal letters written by and to school-aged children around the state. The ride will culiminate in front of Western Spirit: Scottsdale's Museum of the West where Scottsdale Mayor Borowsky will welcome the riders to Scottsdale.
The morning will be hosted by Scottsdale's History Hall of Fame inductee Denny Brown and Arizona Governor Hobbs will be in attendance to receive a proclamation from the Navajo County Sherriff’s Office and its Posse recognizing her hard work and service to Arizonans. During the program, visitors can take part in the "Postcard Express", hosted by Scottsdale Artists' School. Discover the magic of storytelling through post with this fun postcard project. Create little works of collage art that can be sent by mail or kept as a memorable keepsake.
