Anne Connor

Anne spent her early years in Brussels, Belgium.  She came to the Valley in 1990.  Anne taught upper division courses in Northern and Italian Renaissance and Baroque Art at ASU, as well as Humanities and survey courses of Art History at Scottsdale Community College and Glendale Community College.  

 In 1997 she founded the Friends of European Art special interest group at the Phoenix Art Museum where she served as the group's first president.  In 1997 she contributed several entries in the catalog for the "Copper as Canvas" exhibit co-sponsored by the Museum. For many years, she was a member of the Phoenix Art Museum's Collection Committee. 

She has contributed to the training of the trainees/apprentice docents at the Museum in European Art for many years.  

After retiring, Anne is now devoting her time teaching at Scottsdale Artists School. She also gives regular lectures to special interest groups in the Valley. 

Anne looks at the history of visual art as an eloquent reflection of society's social, religious, and political life, and as a definition of its culture. She believes in the idea of sharing with humor and enthusiasm the results of her constant researches and bringing the history of art to life. 

Anne holds a Master Degree in Art History from ASU.
