Rob Adamson
Rob Adamson earned a BFA in painting and drawing from the University of Utah in 1992 and an MFA in painting and drawing from Brigham Young University in 2007. Rob is a life-long learner and has also studied with Jeffrey Hein, Matt Smith, Lori Putnam, Don Demers and Mitch Baird. He paints gallery and commission work in his studio located near his home in East Millcreek, Utah. Rob is especially known for his daytime and nocturne cityscapes. He also paints plein air landscapes and commissioned portraits.
Rob is a professor at the Salt Lake Community College in the Visual Art and Design Department. He teaches classes in drawing, painting, life drawing, plein-air landscape, portrait painting and design. Rob is a member of the Plein-Air Painters of Utah, Signature Member of Oil Painters of America and Signature Member of American Impressionist Society. He has won numerous awards participating in many shows throughout the United States. Rob enjoys performing as the percussionist for his family band accompanying his children, Zac on the piano and Sarah Ann on the violin.
