Matt Ryder

Matt is an award-winning British artist living and working in Dubai, UAE. He is a life-long painter inspired by the natural world, and the beauty of nature. Matt moved to Dubai in 2005, jumping from one job to another until eventually realizing his true passion, painting was within reach of a full-time career.  After taking the leap to professional artist Matt quickly established himself and gained critical acclaim for his florals and landscapes both locally and internationally. His work has been featured in multiple publications including Plein air magazine, International Artist magazine, Realism today, Fine art connoisseur, Outdoor painter and more. Matt has also featured on several podcasts including Plein Air podcast, The Art Dealer Diaries and The Artful painter. 

Being predominantly self-taught has enabled Matt to develop a technique that is very unique to him with a particular emphasis on bringing the feel of natural light into his work.  

He has taught and exhibited in the UAE, USA and Ireland and is represented in the USA by Medicine Man gallery, Tucson.
