Susan Henningsen


Susan Henningsen has taught at Scottsdale Artists’ School since 1994 - 2015 and is happy to be able to teach there again. She studied sculpture in college and has a BA in Art Education from ASU and has also studied with a number of artists including Bruno Luccehesi, Lincoln Fox, Jerry Cox, Eugene Daub, Simon Kogan to name a few. 
Susan has done a number of private commissions including a nine-foot sculpture of United States Supreme Court Justice Sandra Day O’Connor which in at the Federal Court House named after Justice O’Connor in Phoenix.
Her passion is portrait and figurative sculpture and she loves teaching students to find the magic in clay and in themselves.
