Dianna Shyne

Pursuing her passion for art, Dianna Shyne has over spent thirty years working in acrylic, oil and watercolor. She studied for over 15 years with renowned Russian Impressionist teachers including Ron Lukas, William Reese and Del Gish.
Richly textured surfaces, compelling compositions, and dynamic color interplay form the basis of Dianna’s unique style. Recent painting trips to the Yunnan Province of China, Prince Edward Island, Maine and Tuscany have provided rich painting material for her work for many years to come.
Dianna has exhibited her work in over 40 solo and two person exhibitions, and won more than a dozen top National awards, including first place in acrylics in The Artist’s Magazine 2013 all media competition.
Her work has been included in The Artist Magazine and Watercolor Magic as well as Northlight Books.
Her painting “Americana” was featured in the 2013 edition of “Acrylic Works the Best of Acrylic Painting” published by Northlight Books.
Dianna has given classes and demonstrations around North America, Italy and China. She currently teaches classes in the Pacific Northwest and Canada. Dianna is a member of Women Painters of Washington and is a signature member and past president of the Northwest Watercolor Society.
From luminous dripping washes to impasto palette knife and painterly brush strokes, Dianna’s paintings tap into her Russian Impressionist training to evoke the passage of light and unspoken emotion.
