Diane Eugster

Born in San Mateo, California to an artist mother, Diane’s first job was at the family art supply store. Now living in Phoenix Arizona, she teaches and paints in her home studio. Diane Eugster is a member of the American Impressionist Society, The Oil Painters of America and the Portrait Artists of Arizona.
Diane’s oil paintings are recognized for their Contemporary Impressionistic style. In her own words “A simple statement is a bold statement, my palette is limited to as few choices as possible which, provides me with vivid color harmonies”. Spontaneous brush work with broken color passages flow in and out of her paintings while the figure is the core source of her inspiration. The challenge to capture the surrounding atmosphere, as well as the subject, is a puzzle that keeps drawing her back to the human form. Her pursuit of capturing the essence of her subjects has rewarded her with recognition from many regional and national art shows.
Diane feels fortunate to have studied with many artists over the years such as Carolyn Anderson, Mike Malm, Sunny Apinchapong, Matt Smith, John Michael Carter and David Shevlino. Her work can currently be found at the Lee Youngman Gallery in Calistoga, Ca. and the Meyer Vogl Gallery in Charleston South Carolina.
