Join Bryan Mark Taylor for four days in the beautiful Napa and Sonoma wine country. This workshop is for painters who want to develop an understanding of the fundamentals of outdoor painting through demonstrations (in oil), lectures, practice, and critique. The workshop will focus the artist on effectively capturing light, atmosphere and mood of the countryside while using strong composition and color harmony.

A young and accomplished landscape painter, Bryan is currently working out of his Bay Area studio and teaching in the Graduate School at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. His work continues to evolve as a combination of traditional techniques and personal innovation. Time spent outdoors observing and pondering nature has become an essential part of his creative process.

Portable equipment and transportation required. Students will receive lodging recommendations upon registration.
