Foundation Studies: Drawing I
An introductory drawing course designed to prepare students to further their representational art interests. Students will develop and expand basic drawing skills, including the ability to perceive and express visual relationships, organize a two-dimensional composition, and depict and manipulate form, space, and light working with a wide range of controlled values. Students will work from 2D, photos and drawings, as well as direct observation of still-life, interior space and landscape. Class assignments are optional and constructive critiques will be held weekly.

ASSISTED ARTIST STUDIO
Artists and students will have the opportunity to work with drawing and painting instructors; Jerry Salinas, Mike Little and Jennifer Freeman to start and work on paintings and drawings with the goal of completing a finished work. The sessions are open to all and will be limited to 8 students. Open dialogue, critiques and technical assistance will move students to their goal within a positive environment. This will be an engaging and fun experience. Work completed in Assisted Artist Studio will be eligible for entry into student shows and competition.

All sessions will be held on Fridays
Morning session 9am-12pm
Afternoon session 1pm-4pm
Space is limited. Walk-ins may not be guaranteed a spot.
