Charcoal wash drawing is a great way to create more drama in one’s drawings and add fun to the art experience. Adding charcoal wash to the student’s artistic toolbox will enable them to draw while experiencing the sensation of painting at the same time. Charcoal wash is simply powdered charcoal mixed with water and applied with a brush then worked with traditional charcoal methods. It is a fast way to lay in broad dark patterns quickly while not sacrificing the beauty and expression of line. The technique is easy to learn and will help make the student a more creative
