Matt will start with a demonstration each day talking through the techniques required to paint this tricky subject both from life and from photos. The main emphasis of this multi day workshop will be giving you the tools you need to create realistic flowers using loose impressionistic brushwork that are filled with life and light. Matt's method is to simplify first, establishing values and then focusing on color temperature to lift your flowers from the canvas. Matt offers individual guidance and critique on composition, drawing, color harmony, color temperature and values. This immersive workshop will consist of demonstrations, discussion and plenty of hands-on painting for all participants.
