BEAUX   ARTS   2009  


Scottsdale Artists’ School held a miniature art show and fine art auction on Saturday, November 14, 2009 with over 250 attendees. The show included over 150 works of art in different mediums including oil painting, pastels, drawing, sculpture and watercolor painting. The auction also included various “Trips and Treasures” including trips to Hawaii, Coronado Bay, Cabo San Lucas and 3 different private dinners with renown artists. A John Coleman sculpture, Pow Wow Partners was also awarded by raffle at the event.

The “Best of Show” award went to Carolyn Anderson with her oil painting, Kenna. As the winner, Anderson will receive an article in American Art Collector. Other awards include the Patron’s Choice and a Fresh Paint award for student work. The Patron’s Choice award of $1000 went to Patricia Dobson for her Oil painting, A Precious Pair. The Fresh Paint award went to Kay Eneim for her painting.

The artwork from the show that is still available for purchase will remain hanging at the school and is also available for viewing online at in our event section, under Beaux Arts. The school is open weekdays, 8:30 AM through 5:00 PM and Saturdays 9:00 AM through 4:00 PM with free parking behind the school.
