Description: This four week class is designed for students just starting out, as well as those who wish to clarify their understanding of the key principles that every artist needs to know in order to improve their paintings. The weekly topics addressed in this class will include: value, color, edges, and how to create a good design. Lemler will guide you through a series of exercises that will strengthen your skills, while also enjoying the learning process. Demonstrations, individual instruction, and thoughtful discussions will enhance this useful four week course, setting the stage for you to take your paintings to the next level.

Description: This enjoyable portrait painting class will offer the student the opportunity to work from life under the guidance of an accomplished artist. Robert will offer simplified concepts which will help students build a solid foundation in the fundamentals of portrait painting. Clearly expressed principles regarding values, form modeling, color and edges will demystify these sometimes confusing topics. This class will be an informative, non-intimidating introduction (or re-introduction!) to painting the portrait, questions and class discussions will be encouraged. Individualized attention will be give to each student.
