Guest of honor is author, western art expert

Scottsdale, AZ (February 25, 2008) “Beaux Arts 08,” SAS’ annual fine arts auction and entertainment gala, begins at 5:30 p.m., April 26, 2008, on the School’s grounds in the Art District in downtown Scottsdale.
“If you are passionate about art, Beaux Arts 08 is the place to indulge that passion,” said Janie Russo, Beaux Arts chairwoman. “The evening will be an energetic celebration of fine art, cuisine and music.”
In addition to being SAS’ major annual fundraiser, Beaux Arts 08 celebrates the 25th Anniversary of Scottsdale Artists’ School, one of the nation’s premiere traditional art institution. “This year’s guest of honor is Dr. Ginger Renner, author, expert on western art, and a woman who has contributed much over the years to the success of the Scottsdale art community and to the growth of Scottsdale Artists’ School,” Russo said.
Included among the fund-raising activities of Beaux Arts 08 are silent and live auctions of more than $260,000 in original fine art donated by 200 of the country’s leading traditional artists. In addition, an award-winning sculpture by renowned cowboy artist John Coleman, valued at $3,700, will be raffled off during the evening.
Tickets to the Beaux Arts gala are $150 for open seating and $175 for reserved seating, with tables of ten available for $1,750. Raffle tickets are $25 each or 5 for $100 (holder of the winning raffle ticket need not be present to win). Food will be provided by Santa Barbara Catering Company, with the James Linton Classical Guitar Trio providing musical entertainment.

Hours are 8:30 am to 5:00 pm weekdays and 9:00 am to 4:00 pm Saturdays. Admission is free and open to the public. Scottsdale Artists' School is located at 3720 N.
