YOUTH ACADEMY WARMS UP THIS WINTER
Scottsdale Artists' School Youth Academy Offers Holiday Activities for Kids and Teens

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. (November 19, 2009) Winter Break is coming soon and Scottsdale Artists’ School Youth Academy has two exciting offerings over the holiday season.

The first will help children and teens omit the holiday shopping hassle and help cultivate their interest of art. Open to ages 6 through high school, the Youth Academy is offering a holiday gift-making class starting Monday, December 21 running through Wednesday, December 23. The class will take place for three days, from 9 AM – 3 PM and for $195, each student will make four complete gifts for the holidays, including card and wrapping. These gifts are the perfect way for children and teens to show their creativity for the holidays and give parents time to do some last minute shopping at the mall nearby.

To share in the spirit of giving and receiving, the Scottsdale Artists' School Youth Academy is hosting a fundraiser brunch at Lon’s at the Hermosa Inn on Sunday, December 6 from 10 AM – 2 PM. The Youth Academy will be selling hand-made ornaments, painted by the Youth Academy participants and sold for $30 each to help benefit young artists. The four themes of the ornaments include: holiday/seasonal, children’s, western and desert. These ornaments are a great gift and they help support our efforts to offer scholarships to students for our Youth Academy program. The cost for the brunch ranges from $8-$25 and reservations can be made by calling Lon’s in Paradise Valley at (602) 955-7878.
