- Dick Heichberger
-
Dick Heichberger knew he wanted to be an artist the minute he saw an Andrew Wyeth exhibition at the Buffalo Fine Art Museum on a field trip when he was in the 7th grade. He attended the Art Institute of Pittsburgh, studied at Carnegie Tech, and after a stint in the Marine Corps, moved to California where he taught art at San Bernardino Valley College for 17 years. His background is in watercolor, a medium in which he won many prestigious awards, but he now works primarily in oils. Heichberger’s work can be seen at Legacy Gallery in Scottsdale, AZ and Jackson, WY; Settlers West Gallery in Tucson, AZ and in other galleries throughout the West.
