Sandra Luehrsen


Sandra Luehrsen was born in Chicago, Illinois. She earned BA and MA degrees in art at Northern Illinois University and an MFA degree in Art at Arizona State University(ASU). In 1999, Luehrsen left a position as assistant dean of the Graduate College of ASU to start her own business. She also teaches three-dimensional design at Mesa Community College in Arizona. Luehrsen exhibits her ceramic sculpture and digital artwork nationally and internationally. Arizona's Chandler Center for the Arts and the West Valley Art Museum awarded her solo exhibitions in 2007. In 2008, a major body of her sculpture appeared in Bodacious Botanicals at the Phoenix Airport Museum at Sky Harbor. Central Arizona College invited Luehrsen to mount a solo exhibition in November-December 2010.
