Your First Drawing Class 1
If you are just starting out on your art journey, and you would like to build a solid foundation for your future art endeavors, this class is for you. The class will focus on the most fundamental and yet often the most difficult steps in drawing or painting – capturing the world around us in correct proportions.
Using line/contour drawing with charcoal, students will approach subjects such as cast, still-life, and occasionally, the human figure. Students will learn the principles and techniques that artists use to translate our 3-D world onto a 2-D piece of paper. For instance, students will learn how to use techniques such as a Durer’s grid, plumbs and levels, sight-size and more. Students can expect instructive exercises, demonstrations as well as plenty of individual attention.
