By fundraising the School underwrites each adult student on average of $200 per workshop. We rely on the generosity of our donors to help support the School and many have done so by paying it as a donation. Thank you for your generosity. When you sign up for a workshop, there are two fields listed. The “Tuition Price” alone or an added donation: “Studio Support Donation.” “Studio Support Donation” is a tax-deductible donation to the School.

Jacob - Supply List (Drawing)

Working from the live model in two sessions daily, students will gain confidence and fluency in this most essential discipline. Through lectures, demonstrations and personal interaction, Ned Jacob will share knowledge and insight that has made him, arguably, one of the most respected draftsman of his generation. Neophytes will welcome this opportunity to gain a sound introduction to figure drawing; professionals will value  this focused five-day workshop to sharpen tools grown dull through neglect. Subjects discussed will be: hiring, posing and lighting the model; exploring the exquisite relationship between media and working surfaces; using correct drawing posture in addresing the format. The use of charcoal, sanguine chalk and conte will also be discussed.
