Learn how to take a treasured photograph and turn it into a work of art. The subject matter can be anything from a beautiful landscape to a favorite family member or pet. Students will also learn how to work with light and color and focus on drawing and composition to help make their photo into something more.  Students are welcome to work in pastels or oil paints. Students are encouraged to bring in personal photos to work from. The first day of class will involve creating a small study for a larger piece that will be worked on in the remaining days of the class.  Instruction is one-on-one and welcomes all levels. Note: Pastels are welcome in class, but instructor demonstrations will be done with oil paint.
