By fundraising the School underwrites each adult student on average of $200 per workshop. We rely on the generosity of our donors to help support the School and many have done so by paying it as a donation. Thank you for your generosity. Spring is in the air! Using brilliant color, the participant will paint flowers and foliage rioting in a spring garden. Lessons will focus on: intuitive and loose paint handling with brush and knife, wet-into-wet painting to incorporate lost edges, color theory, simplified color mixing, painting with green and using “color as value” (as seen in all three North Light Books). A photo will be provided but the student is always welcome and encouraged to paint from their own reference material whenever they wish. There will be demonstrations of techniques suitable for the subject, exercises, ongoing critique and lots of painting time. Class time will be structured, yet open enough to accommodate the artistic spirit within us all. All levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. The only prerequisite is an attitude of joy in the act of painting! www.juliegilbertpollard.com
