Mike will cover the important fundamentals of composition, color relationships, lighting, atmospheric perspective, simplification and shape design through the use of gouache and oil paints. This is a great workshop for anyone interested in painting plein air and would like to learn how to capture a sense of natural or stylized light into their works.

Mike will start off the three-day workshop with a three-hour lecture covering: color, composition design, lighting design, simplification and atmospheric perspective. Day two will be a full session of outdoor painting with a demo in gouache, and day three will be an outdoor session and include another demo in oil. Mike will give individual hands on instruction during the workshop. www.mikehernandezart.com
