In this workshop Ryan will talk about the creation of a work of art and how to develop a picture from an initial idea to a mature concept. Ryan will discuss elements of aesthetics, composition, lighting, staging, costume, mood and color harmony. Students will look at master paintings for inspiration. There will be discussions on how to best use thumbnail sketches in the developmental process, as well as the use of the color study. Students will use a model in an environment to work out a concept as a group. Students will  gain insights and tools that will help them develop their own concepts following the workshop. www.ryansbrown.com
