This four-week course will cover basic to intermediate concepts in drawing the human figure in charcoal from a live model. Students will learn how to site and draw accurate proportions of the figure, identify rhythms in the form that activate or animate the pose, and how to interpret value relationships to develop form, space, and a sense of light. Each class will integrate exercises to improve dexterity and fluidity in drawing and will help students develop and apply strategies for using time more efficiently during long pose figure drawings. www.mattdickson.net
