“Color that expresses the light key of nature can make any subject strikingly beautiful.”

—Camille Przewodek

This workshop will introduce a way of seeing and using color to paint outdoor light; capturing the time and type of day by expressing the various light keys of nature. The first two days, students will paint outdoor still life (crucial study that will prepare students to tackle the landscape on Wednesday and Thursday). On Friday students will study the clothed figure outdoors. Students are encouraged to bring original artwork or photos and talk to Camille about their vision as artists during the week. Camille is an acknowledged authority on color that regularly serves as an entry and awards judge. She has been a regularly featured, on-stage demonstrator at Plein Air Magazine’s Plein Air Convention, and an invited instructor, lecturer, and panelist on the Hensche-Hawthorne approach to seeing and painting color at American Artist’s Weekend with the Masters. www.przewodek.com
