Michael will instruct on the process of creating structurally sound paintings from a live model. The emphasis of the workshop will be placed on producing “finished” paintings by addressing the principles of abstract design and motifs.

Importance will also be placed on creating a strong sense of light and form utilizing  his approach to color and light theory. Michael will take students step-by-step through his process of setting up the model, analyzing shapes, creating a black and white compositional study, determining a color palette, and finally executing a well-designed vibrant figure painting. www.steirnagle.com
