Description: Monsoon season brings monster cloud formations and 'candystore' colors to our desert skies. Dry winds stir up dust and cast a yellow aura around everything. Swaying palms sparkle against the dark banks of monsoon clouds. These seasonal conditions offer soft pastelists visual references to work on the following skills: ~ layering hues, edge thinning and glazing ~ depth sensation, receding forms and fishbowl perspective ~ color combining and vibration ~ elements of value grouping and design principles of repetition. Advanced students will be challenged and beginning students will feel comfortable with demonstrations, lively class discussions and personal attention.
