Description: Paint Sedona and Oak Creek Canyon in watercolor or water-media. Beautiful and inspiring are the soaring cliffs and formations in red rock country, with sparkling Oak Creek at their feet. Paint this sublime subject – your painting vortex awaits! A photo from the Sedona/Oak Creek Canyon area will be provided but you are always welcome and encouraged to paint from your own reference material. There will be demonstrations of techniques suitable for the subject, exercises, critique and lots of painting time.

Description: Watercolor paintings are often technically good but still lack spark and freshness – it’s a challenge we all face with watercolor, often becoming “the muddy medium.” This class will focus on: • Fresh, clean color • Intuitive negative painting • Incorporating soft lost edges and sharp found edges • Spontaneous, sure brushwork • Stronger composition & design Landscape scenes and flowers will be our subjects and photos will be provided for your use, but you are always welcome to paint from your own reference material. There will be demos, exercises, critique and lots of painting time.
