Description: This class will be focused on lighting, metering and getting photographs to accurately represent what you painted or sculpted with the use of studio lighting. Students will learn how to properly set up, light and take professional-quality digital photographs of their two-dimensional and three-dimensional artwork. Students should bring a piece of artwork to photograph (frames ok, no glass please). Students must have a digital camera that can be set for manual settings off program modes, a tripod, and their camera manual. Everyone will go home with one or two quality digital images that are appropriate for submission in juried shows, such as Scottsdale Artists’ School’s the Best and the Brightest annual student show and sale (deadline October 22, 2012). This evening workshop is designed for the intermediate photographer who knows how to manually set their DSLR camera settings. (Note: This is not a basic photography class.) A tripod is required. Class Limited to 8 students.
