Jacob Aguiar

Jacob Aguiar is a nationally recognized pastel artist living in Boxford, MA with his wife Laura, son Henry, and daughter Lucy.  He splits his time between painting inspiring local landscapes and practicing naturopathic medicine.  He has won several awards including awards in the 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018 Pastel 100 competitions; 3rd place overall in the 2017 Plein Air Salon; an award in the 2023 American Impressionist Society Small Works Show; and 2nd place overall at Carmel Plein Air in 2023.  He has exhibited in galleries throughout the US, including Jackson Hole, Wyoming and exhibited at the Brinton Museum in Big Horn, Wyoming.  His work has been featured numerous times in Plein Air Magazine, Southwest Art, and the Pastel Journal.  A signature member of the Pastel Society of America, he teaches online through Patreon, as well as at workshops throughout the country.
